Out in the Bay works extensively with people who experience problems related to the abuse of drugs and alcohol, regardless of whether or not they identify as LGBTQI.

We realise that when a person has drug or alcohol issues many in society – even those who are there to help that person – are all too quick to apply a negative label to them. Not only can these labels define how others see and treat them, it can lead to them seeing themselves negatively.

Your safety and dignity are vital to us here at Out In The Bay. If you become one of our clients our staff are committed to providing a non-judgemental social environment, even if you are still using drugs or alcohol and are trying to stop. Some of our staff have experienced active addiction and can provide advice and peer support based upon their own experiences.

If you would like to know more about how we can support you or someone you know with alcohol or drug addiction, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
