Out in the Bay offers awareness-raising sessions and sensitivity training for the staff and volunteers of local services and voluntary organisations regarding the issues that LGBTQI clients of their services may face. We realise that agencies have a limited amount of resources to deal with the issues within their remit, and may not realise the added issues that those of their users who are LGBTQI may face, and how they may compound with the issues they cover (for example, those facing homelessness due to discrimination they face from being gay etc).

Groups we have worked with include Lancashire Police and The Prince’s Trust, whose members have volunteered with us in the past, and other agencies we work with.

If you would like to inquire about our Awareness Training or would like us to work with your organisation, please feel free to contact us for more information.
