Out in the Bay offers LGBTQIA+ Awareness and Sensitivity Training for the staff and volunteers of local organisations. This training supports them in better serving their LGBTQIA+ service users. Many agencies, focused on their own key areas, might not fully recognize the added challenges their LGBTQIA+ clients face or how these may compound other issues.
Additionally, we understand that many individuals and organisations fear saying the wrong thing or unintentionally asking offensive questions. Therefore, our training courses are designed to be specifically tailored to the needs of the trainees, providing a safe space where any question can be asked and answered. This approach ensures that participants gain the confidence and understanding necessary to support LGBTQIA+ individuals effectively.
