About Out In The Bay

LGBT Out in the Bay (Charity No. 1153064) is a charity dedicated to supporting and empowering the LGBTQIA+ community in the Lancaster District. Our core activities include:

  • One to one support and counselling
  • Peer support groups
  • Lancaster and Morecambe Prides
  • The No Labelz Housing Project
  • Diversity and Inclusion Training
  • Offering Volunteering
  • Mental Health Support
  • Gender Identity Support

As a Lived Experience Organisation, every staff member and volunteer brings their own lived experience, enabling us to genuinely understand and empathise with the challenges our community faces. Whether it’s mental health struggles, substance misuse, domestic abuse, sexual health, or other issues, we draw on our experiences and use a person-centred approach to empower our community to live their best lives.

What We Do

Out In The Bay provide support to our LGBTQI community as well as the wider community within the Lancaster district. Our services include substance misuse support, equality and diversity awareness training as well as providing training to volunteers.
